 Wygwam, part of the Niko Group, is an innovative organization focused on smart technical solutions. To strengthen our procurement team, we are looking for a Senior Buyer.

In this role, you will be responsible for the purchasing of electronic components and technical materials. You will work closely with colleagues from R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Quality to help ensure the right materials are available on time, at the right quality, and at a competitive cost.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys supplier contact, coordination, and finding practical purchasing solutions in a technical environment.

 Key responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing of electronic components and technical materials 
• Request, compare, and follow up quotations from suppliers 
• Support supplier selection and evaluate supplier performance together with the team 
• Participate in price and delivery negotiations with suppliers 
• Maintain and develop good relationships with existing suppliers 
• Follow up orders, lead times, and delivery performance 
• Monitor market developments and signal potential supply issues 
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Quality to align purchasing with technical and operational needs 
• Help improve procurement processes, stock levels, and cost efficiency 
• Ensure correct follow-up of purchasing data in the ERP system 

Profile

We are looking for someone with a practical mindset and a strong interest in purchasing within a technical environment.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
• 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain 
• Experience in a technical, industrial, or electronics-related environment is a plus 
• Affinity with electronic components such as PCBs, connectors, semiconductors, or technical materials is an advantage 
• Comfortable communicating with suppliers in an international context 
• Good negotiation and communication skills 
• Structured, accurate, and solution-oriented way of working 
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus 
• Good command of English and Dutch; other languages are an asset
